Puente Hills Regional Park

EMPOWERING LIVES, BUILDING FUTURES

Los Angeles County’s newest regional park in 30 years—the Puente Hills Regional Park—is atop the former Puente Hills Landfill, formerly the nation’s second largest landfill!

Take part in Los Angeles County’s most transformative park in 30 years.

A beloved neighborhood jewel, Loma Alta Park offers families a safe and vibrant space to gather, play, and connect with nature. Nestled in a scenic hillside setting, the park reopened in early 2025 after a transformative renovation that upgraded its playground facilities, shade structures, and native landscaping. With sweeping mountain vistas and fresh, accessible amenities, it’s become the go-to weekend destination for surrounding communities.

Contribute to the historic effort behind Puente Hills Regional Park.

The vision for Puente Hills Regional Park represents the culmination of years of community outreach and partnership—a diverse celebration of the San Gabriel Valley’s past and future. With over 40-acres of parkland, there is ample opportunity to contribute towards the park amenities that will support outdoor recreation and ecological exploration for years to come.

Commemorate a loved one with a park bench or boulder; cultivate native habitat with a bird house or insect habitat; plant the seed for future generations with a tree. We encourage you to browse our menu of donation options below.
